I grew up in Lincoln, Illinois which is the halfway point between Chicago and St. Louis. After graduating from Western Illinois University in 2006, I moved to Tampa, Florida. While in Tampa, I taught 3rd grade in the Hillsborough County School District for 8 years.
This is my 5th year teaching at Reed Elementary. I graduated with my masters in Curriculum and Instruction in December. This was the first summer that I wasn't working or taking classes, so I spent the summer relaxing and having fun with friends and family.
In my spare time I mostly enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy running outside, watching and playing sports, cooking, reading, and watching TV/movies.
